  • Descripción

Throughout 2018 and 2019, the project From an Open Government to an Open State in Costa Rica, implemented by the Trust for the Americas and the Organization of American States, provided opportunities for municipal governments and civil society organizations to jointly create spaces for discussion and deliberation of Open Data policies, and to propose innovative initiatives to improve public services. This project was possible thanks to the financial support of the United States Embassy in San José. I was implemented in 15 Municipalities outside the Greater Metropolitan Area of San José, and it focuses on promoting the participation of civil society (media, organizations and non-profit groups profit, academic sector, and business sector) from the cantons of San Ramón, Esparza, San Mateo, Orotina, Quepos, Bagaces, Cañas, Pococí, Jiménez, Hojancha, Abangares, Turrialba, Guácimo, Osa and Grecia
